Generally, this level of security should be anticipated when ceremonies are held on athletic fields.  Check out the list below to learn about the university's guest and alumni guidelines.

Below are some Universities with a graduation clear bag policy for guests and graduates:

  • Jacksonville State University will implement its clear bag policy for graduation.
  • Alabama State University in Montgomery, AL enforces a clear bag policy for graduation commencement events.
  • Auburn University has a clear bag policy for graduation events at Neville Arena. Graduates and guests are allowed one clear bag or clear stadium tote bag that does not exceed 12” x 12”.  One small clutch purse that does not exceed 4.5" x 6.5" per person is also allowed.
  • Tuskegee University allows a clear stadium approved tote bag or clear gallon size plastic storage bag, or smaller, inside.

While some schools require clear bags, others might not have a specific bag rule. However, security measures like metal detectors or general guidelines might still be in place for these ceremonies.
